Schrift (Regular, Italic, Bold, Serif, Grotesk)
Agata emerged as a typeface project that was inspired by the aesthetics of the Glagolitic script system, the oldest Slavic script. The interplay between the striking angular and round shapes was an interesting challenge during the development of the font. After the regular serif style took shape, I wanted also an italic, bold and grotesque variant of Agata. The namesake is a Dutch, hard-boiling potato variety. For me, the amusing bulb was a great fit for the look of the font.
